Kippure Estate has many years of experience working with youngsters! Since Kippure Estate is a natural playground in close proximity to the Blessington Lakes and several rivers, we have thoroughly enjoyed leading many canoeing and kayaking adventures for kid and youth groups.

Paddling activities are an excellent way for youth to learn new skills, be physically active outside and develop as individuals while cooperating together in a variety of fun-filled challenges.

We will work with you to design a paddling day that compliments your group’s dynamics, interests and experience levels. We can also help you identify specific teambuilding objectives to directly coincide with the day’s adventures.

There are a range of possibilities for a day of paddling in the ‘Great Outdoors’! For example, we can lead a guided kayak trip down the Liffey, Boyne and Barrow Rivers with rest stops along the way, or we even lead a variety of paddling games out on the water! We can even offer several Irish Canoeing Union (I.C.U.) certified courses for kayaking and canoe.

We also offer a variety of boating options:

• Sit-on-tops: A comfortable, easier-to-balance kayak designed for those new to the sport.
• Canoes: Also known as “Canadian Canoes,” two to three youths can share a boat and enjoy paddling together.
• River Kayaks: Suitable for experienced paddlers, youths will have fun experimenting with these kayaks along our varied river courses.
• Sea Kayaks: These crafts are designed for the ultimate kayak explorers as they facilitate longer distance travel. They are also ideal for overnight camping trips.
