Our Safety Policy

Safety & Insurance
Safety is always our number one priority! During High Ropes activities participants are individually fitted with helmets and harnesses and secured to ropes or wires so that they are 100% safe at all times.  All teaching locations have been risk assessed to ensure safety.  During all our activities participants are covered by our €2.5 million public liability insurance in the highly unlikely event of negligence by one of our employees.

Group Size
A day at Kippure is educational and adventurous and will provide your class with unique experiences and unforgettable moments; highlighting our ethos of 'Education by Experience'.

We only take one school group per day and a typical group size is between 20 and 45 children plus teachers - although we can deal with smaller and larger groups by arrangement. This means minimal impact on the environment, more flexibility - and a chance for pupils to get real hands-on experience.

Instructor plus Adult Supervisor: Student Ratio
In order to ensure a high quality experience for all we operate under very strict instructor plus adult supervisor to student ratios. We require 1 adult supervisor from the school per 15 students for our Field Studies and 1 per 10 students for Adventure Programmes. We operate under the same Kippure Instructor to student ratio.
